How Do Movemedical Audits Work?

Movemedical allows leading medical device companies to schedule an audit for the future or create an audit on the fly. Users have the flexibility to scan or manually key in item information to count the records of actual stock. When you do, you receive a real-time comparison with the stock levels in the Move application.

  • Faster, Smarter Scans: Audits are faster and more accurate with RFID capabilities now embedded into the audit flow.
  • Inventory & Non-Inventory Location Audits: For the first time, users can initiate audits even at locations they created in Movemedical by uploading expected items based on ERP quantities they need to count against
  • Bulk Actions & Filtering: Update, assign, or close audits with fewer clicks—and more control.
  • Mobile and Web Optimized: Whether in the field or at a desk, reps and teams get a unified experience that enhances communication and accuracy across teams as they trace the history of each item based on the transactions it’s been part of.
  • Enhanced UI/UX: Users spend less time navigating and more time doing with a streamlined user experience

There are three key actions your teams can take to conduct an audit:

  1. Audit Setup: Field and operations teams create or schedule audits through simple navigation in our mobile or web application. Once required information is inputted (count type, inventory location, start date, due date) they configure the audit, assign participants, and set specific parameters needed to complete the audit.
  2. Audit Execution: Users can locate audits they need to start, complete, or reconcile in their Movemedical mobile application or from their desktop experience and then start the audit when they are ready to begin counting. As they begin their count, they have the flexibility to choose how to scan or input item counts in Movemedical using our mobile or web application. Once counts are completed the user can save their progress, review counts, and submit their audit for reconciliation and resolution.
  3. Audit Reconciliation: Reconciling an audit in Movemedical is simple and controlled. Mobile and web app users can filter for audits in the Reconciling or Submitted status and review each audit directly. Within the Items Counted tab, discrepancies between expected and counted quantities are clearly highlighted. Each item shows who performed the count, when it occurred, and full stock activity details. Admins can manually close audit lines after reviewing discrepancies. Once all lines are closed, the audit can be moved to Complete status or configure to complete automatically once all discrepancies are closed. When configured, Move can also trigger real-time ERP updates—ensuring your inventory is accurate across systems without manual syncing.
