Real numbers, real playbooks, real failures. Candid exchange between people who actually own the P&L impact of inventory.
Formerly the Med Device Field Inventory Forum
A consortium for the decision-makers who turn inventory into advantage — across manufacturers and health systems alike.
Trusted by inventory leaders across the industry
A new name. The same gathering you trust.
For years, the MDFIF brought together the people responsible for one of healthcare's most complex challenges — getting the right device to the right place at the right time. That mission hasn't changed. The scope has.
The Med Device Inventory Symposium reflects what this community has become: a cross-industry consortium where manufacturers and health systems sit at the same table to solve inventory together — not as a vendor problem or a hospital problem, but as a shared opportunity. Same faces, same energy, a bigger ambition.
Who's Attending?The MDIS experience
Real numbers, real playbooks, real failures. Candid exchange between people who actually own the P&L impact of inventory.
Working sessions, not lectures. Roll up your sleeves with peers on the problems keeping you up at night.
The room is the value. Build the relationships that turn a conference connection into a year-round advantage.
Leave ahead — on the technology, the thinking, and the business process that define the next era of inventory.
Who's in the room
One table. Two sides of the same supply chain. A shared definition of success.
Quotes from the inside
“Coming into this conference, I was happy to be part of it — knowing other customers who are well ahead in this journey. Hearing their journey was a big lesson learned for me.”
“Hundreds of millions of dollars throughout the industry. Where does it go and how do we solve it? Improving visibility allows us to better manage that inventory, reduce unnecessary waste, and ensure that the right products are available where they are needed.”
“Misery loves company. We're all trying to solve the same issues, and then you get in this group and realize these are like-minded people. We finally have a place to discuss what's worked, what hasn't, and how we can improve going forward.”
“I've been to other conferences that are so grandiose and so large, they're not intimate enough — you're not really getting anything of value. This one separates itself. There's intimacy, I'm with my peers, and we're all trying to solve the same problems. I could see myself coming back and recommending this.”
“You have all of these suppliers, with information, you have all these hospitals with information. Never before has that information been shared to increase efficiency, optimize the process, reduce friction, and ultimately lower costs, and when you can share that information through a centralized database. There's an explosion of value.”
“When organizations come together and start sharing experiences, it becomes clear that a common theme is a lack of visibility into inventory. Without that visibility, it becomes very difficult to effectively manage inventory and make informed decisions.”
“It's super refreshing to be in a room full of peers who talk my talk—who are my industry. I'm not sitting in a massive conference room with hundreds of people. It's an intimate setting and we’re all facing the same challenges.”
“It's really valuable to hear from peers and other companies and understand they have the same problems. I like that we have a common ground to advance the industry together.”
“I love this event. This is my second year going. We're sitting in a room with other people who have had these issues and have solved them. There's hope — and you're not getting it from the vendor's mouth, you're getting it from peers.”

Three days, designed
Check in, meet your peers, and start the conversations that will carry through the next two days. Day 1 opens with a community service experience alongside a local organization that reminds us who all this work is ultimately for, followed by a welcome reception on the Gulf as the sun goes down.
Day 2 will be an action-packed day. Peer-led sessions and facilitated roundtables cover the most pressing topics in field inventory and care operations today. Learn about AI's real role in the field and audit accountability at scale, to change management, decision intelligence for reps, inventory optimization across every business model, and more. We’ll cap off the day with hosted dinner where the conversation continues.
Day 3 is where insight becomes directed application. We'll begin our day with an inspiring keynote address, followed by sessions on more key topics like RFID at scale, AI accountability, PPI visibility, and the Movemedical innovation roadmap. The day closes with every attendee naming one commitment they're taking back to their organization and leaving with the clarity, connections, and tools to act on it.
Full program announced closer to the event. Topics and format subject to refinement.
